This policy explains what happens to your data when you play Bomb Pass ("the app") on Android. It is written for the version currently available on Google Play.
The short version
Bomb Pass works fully without any account: your local progress stays on your own device. If you play online — multiplayer, ranked matches, or the friends feature — your chosen username, match results and friends list are also stored on our server, tied to this device; see "Online play" below. Linking a Google account is optional: it lets that same server data, and your progress, move with you to a new device or a reinstall instead of staying tied to just this one, and it is required to buy anything in the app. Besides that, the only other data that leaves your device is what Google AdMob collects in order to show you advertisements.
Data stored on your device
The app saves the following in your device's local browser storage. It stays on your phone, it is not sent to us, and we cannot read it:
- your game progress: scrap, unlocked cosmetic items and fuse progress;
- your statistics: matches played, wins, longest rally and similar counters;
- your settings: chosen language, difficulty, sound, vibration and assist options;
- the player name you type in yourself, which is only used to label you on your own screen;
- daily reward, mission and advertisement counters, so that daily limits work.
Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Advertising
The app shows advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve and measure those ads, Google may collect and process device information, unique identifiers including the Android advertising ID, your IP address, and how you interacted with an advertisement. This processing is governed by Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Details on how Google uses data from apps that use its services are here: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where the law requires it — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland — the app shows Google's consent form before advertising is personalised. You may refuse. If you refuse, you will still see advertisements, but they will not be personalised.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your Android settings, under Settings → Privacy → Ads. The exact path may differ per device.
Analytics
The app contains no analytics or tracking SDK. We do not measure how you play, which screens you open, or how long you play. This was a deliberate choice.
Purchases
You can buy scrap (the in-game currency) in the app once you have linked a Google account. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play: we never receive or store your payment details. After a purchase, the app sends the purchase receipt (a purchase token) to our server, which checks it with Google, credits your scrap and keeps a record of the purchase tied to your player record: the product, Google's order number, the time of purchase and the amount of scrap credited. This record is only used to credit each purchase exactly once and to sort out problems or refunds. Google keeps its own records of your purchases under its own privacy policy.
Online play
Online multiplayer, ranked matches and the friends feature connect to our own server. As soon as you connect, the server creates a record for your device and stores your chosen username, match results, ranked rating, friends list and the cosmetics and statistics you choose to show friends — this happens whether or not you link a Google account. While connected, your username, rank tier, and whether you are online or in a match are visible to your friends and, for the username and rank, to whoever you are matched against. Linking a Google account (see below) does not change what is stored; it lets that same server data be recovered after reinstalling the app or on a new device, instead of staying tied to just this one. None of this is sold or shared with anyone outside what is needed to provide the game.
If you do link a Google account, our server stores Google's unique identifier for that account so it can recognise you on another device or after a reinstall. We do not store your email address, name or profile picture. For a linked player the server also keeps your progress (scrap, unlocked items, fuse progress, ranked rating, statistics, daily reward and mission state, and the items you have equipped), so it can be restored on a new device. Every device that connects holds a random secret that proves it belongs to your player record; our server stores only a one-way hash of that secret. Our server is hosted in the European Union (Hetzner Online GmbH).
Permissions
- Internet — needed to load advertisements.
- Vibration — used for haptic feedback during play. Can be turned off in the settings.
Children
Bomb Pass is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will act on it.
Deleting your account and data
As explained above, playing online already stores your username, match results, ranked rating, friends list and statistics on our server, tied to your device — this does not require linking a Google account. Bomb Pass additionally lets you optionally link a Google account (Google Sign-In) so that same server data can be recovered after reinstalling the app or on another device, instead of staying tied to just this one. Linking is never required: you can keep playing without it.
How to request deletion
- In the app: open Settings and tap "Delete my data", then confirm. This works whether or not you have linked a Google account — being connected in the app is itself proof that the data is yours, no login required. It deletes everything stored on our server for your player immediately.
- If you linked a Google account and no longer have the app or the device: install Bomb Pass on any Android device, link the same Google account (Settings → Google account → Link) and delete your data there as described above. Linking brings your player record back, and you can then delete it.
- If you never linked a Google account and no longer have the app or the device: we have no way to tell which player record is yours — we keep no email address or other identifying information, so we cannot verify a request by email either — and in that specific case deletion can only happen from within the app.
What gets deleted
- your Bomb Pass player record on our server: username, wallet balance, unlocked cosmetics, statistics, ranked rating and daily-reward state;
- your cloud save, and the record of your purchases (product, order number, time);
- your friends list, any pending friend requests, and your place on leaderboards;
- if you had linked a Google account, the link itself.
What is kept, and for how long
- on our server, deletion is immediate and permanent: your player record and everything tied to it are removed, and you disappear from friends' lists and leaderboards;
- backups: we back up our database regularly. Backups are kept for at most 30 days and then overwritten; they are only used to restore the service after a failure, and data you deleted is not restored from them;
- Google keeps its own records of purchases you made through Google Play. We cannot delete those; see Google's privacy policy;
- the copy of your progress stored locally on your device is separate and is not affected; uninstalling the app removes that. After deleting you can keep playing on this device as a new player: the next time you go online, a new, empty player record is created for it.
You can also just unlink your Google account in Settings without deleting: this disconnects the account but keeps your server data, so linking again brings it back. Anything you play on the device while it is unlinked is not added to that data.
Your rights
For the data Google processes for advertising, you can use the controls in your Android settings described above, and exercise your rights directly with Google. For the data stored on our server — whether or not you have linked a Google account — see Deleting your account and data above.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Substantial changes will be published here before the version they apply to is released.

- je voortgang: schroot, vrijgespeelde cosmetische items en lontvoortgang;
- je statistieken: gespeelde matches, overwinningen, langste rally en soortgelijke tellers;
- je instellingen: taal, moeilijkheidsgraad, geluid, trillen en hulpopties;
- de spelersnaam die je zelf invult, die alleen op je eigen scherm gebruikt wordt;
- je Bomb Pass-spelerrij op onze server: gebruikersnaam, schrootsaldo, vrijgespeelde cosmetische items, statistieken, ranked-rating en de status van dagbeloningen;
- je cloudsave en de registratie van je aankopen (product, bestelnummer, tijdstip);
- je vriendenlijst, eventuele openstaande vriendschapsverzoeken en je plek op ranglijsten;
- op onze server is verwijdering direct en definitief: je spelerrij en alles wat eraan hangt wordt gewist, en je verdwijnt uit vriendenlijsten en ranglijsten;
- back-ups: we maken regelmatig een back-up van onze database. Back-ups blijven maximaal 30 dagen bewaard en worden daarna overschreven; ze dienen alleen om de dienst na een storing te herstellen, en gegevens die je verwijderde worden er niet uit teruggezet;
- Google bewaart zelf gegevens over aankopen die je via Google Play deed. Die kunnen wij niet verwijderen; zie het privacybeleid van Google;
